When Silver sees a soaring buzzard he decides to learn how to fly. Together with his sister, Pearl, they make a pair of wings, but flying is not as easy as it seems.

Silver and Pearl are water dragons. Together with their mother, Opal, they live on the banks of the Sapphire river in Emerald forest.

The Water Dragons has real plants and creatures to spot throughout the story.
Suitable for ages 2-5

We received this book to give an honest review.

K and I enjoyed this book I didn't get to read it to A as she went to bed a bit early with another book she picked out. She isn't too keen on the ereaders yet.
K really liked how it was about dragons and he would predict what would happen next with Silver when he would try to fly.
Silver and his sister are hanging around when they see a buzzard flying around that gets Silver to thinking on how it would be if he could fly. What happens when he tries? Will he succeed?
The only thing he didn't like was that it was too short for him and he wanted me to read him another story afterwards.
We both enjoyed how at the end of the story there was a game where you have to find certain animals  and plants within the book. We both took turns trying to find them which it wasn't hard at all. So a bit of fun after reading the story was great.
The only thing that I noticed that didn't really bother me but kind of was on my mind was when Silver fell out of the tree and his mother was there, she nuzzled him but didn't ask him if he was okay. I just know when my kids get hurt even if they aren't bleeding or crying I do ask if they are okay and I thought maybe the mom dragon should have asked. It didn't deter me from the story so it won't lose a star.

The illustrations are bright and vivid and go along with the book wonderfully. I would say this book would be perfect for ages 3 on up. K is 9 and still found the book to be interesting.
